Literacy Circles are used as an instructional means of meeting several DoDDS standards.

Reading: Reads twenty-five or more books from a variety of genres (700-1000 lexile)
Uses a variety of strategies to sustain reading
Demonstrates oral fluency with expression
Makes connections to text, self, and world

Writing: Writes a response to literature
Speaking, Listening, and Viewing: Participates in group meetings

Literature: Responds to literature through a variety of formats
